I keep trying to prove I'm better than him, that I'm not what he thinks I'm fated to be, and I keep falling for every damn trap he lays, and dragging the people I love into it.

Is it bad I'm almost glad for a break from it? From worrying about his next move, where he's got the Cup and the Sword, how he's going to destroy everything? All it cost me is every secret shame I've kept hidden since I was old enough to get excited about cute boys and girls.

Someone will be responsible for you regardless of how you feel about it, and no one would want you to contract a Dominant you'd be okay with getting in trouble.

He'd been hoping to talk to Magnus about Jace's family— potential family, but if Jace is open to sex, then Magnus' attachment to the Herondales would only complicate the whole love triangle further. He doubts Magnus would even entertain the idea of allowing Jace to contract someone else with the Herondale possibility on the table.
