Jace preened a little, because Alec thought he was cute. He couldn't help himself. Alec's opinion was one of the few he actually valued. "I wasn't that far gone. I got upstairs, we talked." He gave Alec a sly look and shrugged. "And I'm officially contracted, so there's that. I won't be sneaking off to sleep in the Down any more."

He made a mental note to find the purple bottle at some point, just to see what Alec was talking about. "You didn't ask?" he asked, exasperated.

Jace arched a brow. "I was under the impression when he talked to me that he already knew who I was?"
